TVET Mission to Vietnam, focus circular economy
Project description
From 26.05. to 30.05.2025, AMENA Trade & Investment Consulting GmbH, in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK Vietnam), is organizing a business initiation to Vietnam on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). This is a project-related funding measure as part of the market development program for SMEs. The project is supported from the German side by iMOVE (International Marketing of Vocational Education), an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), the Didacta Verband e.V., the Verband der Bildungswirtschaft, the OAV (German Asia-Pacific Business Association), the VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V.), Fachverband Abfall- und Recyclingtechnik and the Bundesverband Sekundärrohstoffe und Entsorgung e.V. (bvse).Since the opening of the market economy in the 1990s, Vietnam has undergone a dynamic transformation with high growth rates and increasing urbanization. This change is leading to rising waste volumes and environmental problems, which is bringing modern waste and wastewater technologies and separate disposal systems into focus. The demand for advanced technology and engineering services in recycling and water management is opening up new business opportunities for German companies. Especially the reforms in the water and wastewater sector require skilled workers, particularly through technical equipment and training. Training and further education for operational and management staff is particularly relevant, as many Vietnamese companies are turning to in-house training to address the skill shortage.
